In Romans 8 the apostle Paul reminds his readers that if they trust God’s promises made to them in Christ Jesus they have the “mindset of the Spirit” (fronéma tou pneumatos). This is a matter of striving after what the Spirit desires or taking the side of the Spirit, through Jesus, in a world that groans in anticipation of its redemption from sin, death and evil.
